BUS (Because of you I shine) is a 12-member boy group formed through the reality show 789 Survival, under Sonray Music and Tada Entertainment. The group was created with the aim of finding artists with well-rounded abilities and perfect chemistry.

Formation and Member Selection

On August 15, 2022, the 789 program officially launched its social media accounts and announced the recruitment of additional trainees to join their existing 14 trainees. Selected candidates would compete in the 789 Survival show alongside the original trainees, making a total of 24 contestants.

789 Survival aired its first episode on May 26, 2023, and concluded with a live finale on August 11, 2023. The show's purpose was to find members for a new boy group with comprehensive abilities and perfect group chemistry. Although the original plan was to select only 7-9 members, in the final round, it was announced that all 12 finalists would debut together. The members were selected through three channels:

Group Name Announcement and Debut

After the show's conclusion, the company officially announced the group name "BUS" on November 8, 2023. The name comes from the phrase "Because of you I shine," expressing the artists' gratitude to fans who have supported them from the beginning.

BUS held their official debut event, "BUS because of you i shine DEBUT SHOWCASE," on December 6, 2023, at Parc Paragon, Siam Paragon. The event featured the premiere of their music video and the first live performance of their debut single "Because of You, I Shine." The showcase was also live-streamed online for global fans.

Post-Debut Activities

After their debut, BUS has been actively engaging in various activities, notably their "Busking" events, known as #BUSkingAllDay, where they perform live at different locations. These events have gained positive reception from fans of all ages, from children to students, working adults, and elderly supporters.

Fandom Name Announcement

On March 3, 2024, during a Busking event, the group officially announced their fandom name as "BEUS," which stands for "Be with BUS," symbolizing the journey of growth and support between the artists and their fans.
